Title: 2.0L Ultima Estate auto - spares or repair. Post by ron_c on Mar 18th, 2005, 5:09pm Currently complete and running and a few days MOTand taxed to June. The final straw is what I believe to be a blown head gasket. - bubbles and eruptions from the water filler cap. In maroon, not leather, everything works and all body panels good with reversing sensors and traction control. I drove it home, about 70 miles, so it is not entirely gone. It has 180K, uses no oil, its a bit scruffy but that's how I bought it . Externally, it's only damage is a cracked rear bumper and slight dent on rear N/S panel. Known problems from MOT pre inspection - broken front O/S spring, poor handbrake, perished front brake pipes and the usual reluctance to use overdrive. I've suffered this for 18K in 12 months and it has been exactly the same for all of that . I'ts ok but thirsty and lumpy with the MAF disconnected. I'm in Stourport on Severn, between Worcester and Kidderminster and have neither the space nor time to break it myself. Just remembered - the blower motor panel is duff and the cruise and seat memory buttons a bit iffy. |

Title: Re: 2.0L Ultima Estate auto - spares or repair. Post by ron_c on Mar 18th, 2005, 10:27pm Black or slate grey. and would benefit from a good clean (mainly dust) but not worn except slightly on the cord edging of the driver's seat by the door. It is a tough dralon type material but then you probably know the type. The back of the rear seats is showing some wear as you'd expect for the age and mileage. Door panels are undamaged apart rom some slight marks on the 'wood' which may polish out. the passeger seat is mechanical and the memory seat still works. |

Title: Re: 2.0L Ultima Estate auto - spares or repair. Post by ron_c on Apr 8th, 2005, 8:34pm It's all over! As of 6am tomorrow there will be a sad quiet place on the drive... :'( maked only by a small metal plate with some sombre dark stains and a worn inscription. I shall lay flowers there every month on the tenth. |
