Now forgive me for being a neewwwwwbbbb picked my new toy (12yrs New)doesnt have a remote were they fitted as standard or were they an optional extra would be nice to enjoy her with all gadjets

I can't say if they were standard but they are ocasionally offered for sale in Parts for Sale on this site and also on e-bay. There is an article on the site about programming and cleaning one if you manage to find one. I understand they are still available from Ford but at a price!. Welcome to the site.
