Hi peeps need an abs pump for my r reg 2.3 ultima.Light wont go out and diagnostics giving code abs pump failure.Been told its an mot failure like this.Also if anyone can fit one cheaper than my local garage the job is your.......ahhhhh please hellllppppp meeee :( :(

that the same pump as the 2L M regultima? if so i got one £60 inc p+p

There is a part number on it, make sure you get one with the same number, there are lots of different types

hi armatec,we spoke on ebay remember under name vicky.What is the best way to find out if they r compatible.I wouldnt know what im looking for.Would it make more sence to get someone to take old one off first and once off can i still use the car ?...keep it for me for a while if u can until we find out if its the same pump much appriciated if u can.Anyone any idea how much this will cost to fit? omg :-/ :-/

lol had a feeling it was you ;) im glad you found your way to this site , everyone very friendly and nice.. well no one shouted at me yet :D
have a look under the bonnet, it says the part number right on the top of the, you shouldnt need to take it off to see the number.. take a pen and paper with ya :)
not sure about how much to fit? i got a nice brother that does all my stuff ;D

inner yellow is pump.. inner red is part number.. helps??

thanks all for your fast responce and thanks to armatec for your efforts and highlander for finding the part i need.Ive paid for the part and await delivery.Is fitting a new abs pump a headache and will my warning light go out once its done?......great stuff onwards and upwards might treat the scorp to a full sevice after her operation ;D ;D ;D ;D

good job you didnt buy one from ebay then Cleave.. good highlander lol
never fitted one before, only took them off,
i know its sneeky but i took the screen off the dash once and stuck black insulating tape over the light to get it through the MOT.. wasnt a scorp it was the Wifes car but it worked until we had the time to get it done :)

i did think of that one too trouble is it has to come on for 3 seconds then go out ...out perminantly will bring it on top.... never mind anyway part is a cominnn ;D

You can always wire the ABS light to the washer bottle level switch ;)

The picture from Armatec shows a Teves MK 7 and is the early type that does NOT store codes. The picture from Cleave shows a Teves MK 20 that does store codes. Either way, a good unit with no codes should sort the light as long as the sensors are OK.
As far as i am aware, these are the only two units and as long as you get the right one you will be OK.

I changed one a few months ago, and the job is easy, BUT you will have to bleed ALL the brakes after fitting .
It took me about 2 hours from start to finish.

I have had a weekend working on the cars anyway, so it seemed a good idea to help you run through it.
Labour is free if i offer the time.
(Parts are another matter) lol

Evenings are a bit dark at the mo so pick a day next weekend and bring her up for some surgery.
