Title: need a 24v crankshaft sensor
Post by Torbayboy on Nov 24th, 2024, 12:57pm
Can't seem to locate any, tried the ebay etc but no luck.
Anyone got a spare around so I can prove this is what I need, as mine failed at 70 on local dual carriageway so off the road.

Thanks

Pretty sure I've got 1, Roy. I'll have a root around.

Been chasing this up and they're coming back to me that the finis (7334699)is wrong/not recognised and can't chase the mfg No 959m-12a545-aa

Any more options, I wonder?

You could do what I did and direct wire it over the top of the coilpack to the EDIS plug itself with new wires just twisted together (in a twisted pair or use a screened cable-original wasnt screened just twisted). I also wired the 3 "firing" wires between the coilpack and EDIS at same time. This worked for a time and then cut out again and that was when I replaced the screened cable from EDIS module to the ECU itself which you can run up the drivers wing into the footwell and you can actually feed it under dash at bulkhead over to the ECU in the passenger footwell. This solved my issue. If the crank signal does not get from EDIS module to ECU it will think the engine is not running and cut eveything off such as fuel pump relay.
John.
