our family car has just failed its pre mot check and sadly is for sale due to cost of repairs.
1997 Scorpio ghia 2.3 estate
16v engine rare manual transmission
108,000 miles
have owned it since 2000
engine timing chains/guides replaced at 99000
new rear calipers at 105000 cost £180
4 new tyres 105000 cost £250
new driveshaft nsr 106000
new front calipers 107000 cost £150
always regulary serviced by Rolls Royce Vintage mechanic
top of the range model
mot till 11th dec tax expired 1st dec
failed mot due to rust around rear end under the bumper and the quote we had was approx £750 so time for a change
is a lovely car drives beautifully

Not trying to be rude but Ghia ia much closer to the bottom of the range than top, iirc it goes
1) Executive
2) Ghia
3) Ghia X
4) Ultima

Sounds like a worthwhile project, but pictures a location and a price would help a sale no end..
