Title: 1997 2.3 Ultima
Post by Victor on Feb 18th, 2013, 5:25pm
After 12 years of ownership, I am reluctantly selling my Scorpio. ( Ex registration number FEK 1F )
The car is in excellent condition. It has had 2 previous owners - the first, Ford at Brentwood, Essex.

UPDATE First Reg. April,1997 and is an automatic.

Colour - Pepper red metallic.
Milage - 111,500
Taxed -  End of March 2013
MOT    -  25th April 2013

The car has been fitted with facelift front grill and rear light cluster. Also rear parking sensors.
It comes with the Red key plus 2 others, and all old MOT certificates.

Bad bits

Sunroof 'sticky'.
passenger door will not unlock with key.

The car was last used for the Kent meet in November 2012 and has been in dry storage since. Can be viewed any time at Walton - On - The - Naze, Essex.

Condition is reflected in the asking price of £1500. Paul.

This is one of the nicest cars I have ever seen and is in almost 'concours' condition. As Paul says he brought it to the Kent meet in November and it certainly was a star attraction.  Best wishes to you and Mary and trust all is well with you both. Mike. :)

Met up with your namesake, Pegasus, last night as he had been working down here so we managed a few beers together. Hope the car goes to a good home..it certainly should. Mike :)

I kid you not. You have to see this car in the flesh. It is the bee's knee's and no mistake. You will probably have the best example on the road, no exaggeration and Paul's ownership is testament to its condition. I would say it was cheap at the price  ;) ;)

It's a nice car for sure.   Mines as good, it's done a thousand less miles and if it was for sale would have 1 less owner and two sets of professionally refurbished 12 spokes (silver and black) with ALL electrics working and a professionally re-built (not re-furbished) auto-box by our main autobox man.   I'd be lucky to get £1000 for mine even with a full ticket and Tax on it!   Remember I've still got 'Aunty' that is as good although a 2 litre and drives like a dream, with a full ticket couldn't get £500!  These cars are lovely for sure, but you've got to want one!   Maybe I'm a bit of a cynic but cars like ours are not really classics, and won't command much of a price.   Having said all that negative stuff, FEK is a very nice car, but I have seen a few up here in the North comparable, and unfortunately my wife won't let me have any more of them!   There's a fella locally that just scrapped an estate cossie that had 11 months MOT on it because the steering-rack stopped working, it was completely rust-free and had cream leather.   I told him about this site and he said he couldn't be bothered and bought a second-hand Rover 75 estate for £400.   There's about Six or Seven cars I recognise around my wider area, and none of the owners are on the site despite me leaving messages on their screens.   Sad business.

I believe it.   Been there, done the same thing to no avail more than once, still in the process with Aunty.   I've had offers from on here and off here for mine saying, "oh yes I'd like the car for £400, but will you put an MOT on it for me!"   Aye for sure I will, and I came up the Clyde in a coconut tampon!   ;D

You'd be getting a good car for £1000.   About the right price if a little high in my opinion.    :)
