Well, the pub over the road that is.

It was a little get together because Danny R is off to the USA to see his beloved and hopefully become the next Bill Gates (Remember me if you get very rich Danny Me Old Mate!!)

As I said, there were 6 of us: Richard Griffin, Danny R & Kevin R, Geoff Walsh, John and me too! but not a Captain in sight!

We took a few photos and we will ask Eric if we can put up a page because after all, there were only 2 cars less than the first ever Harewood meeting!

Don't forget the real Harewood meeting is in June next year. We had over 30 cars there last year and the next meeting we want even more!!

Now thats a bit low, a good point but low. You never know, by Harewood next year I might have a Cosworth as well.

For the moment 29 - 31mpg and skinny tyres will have to do.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for those kind comments and thanks to the attendees for coming especially Baz coming up from Warrington. Had a great afternoon.

Baz thanks for the photos. I'll put my few up sometime tomorrow.

Only a week and two days to go :o I cant believe how quickly its come round!!!

Calling Nick and Simon, missed you guys at the meet but it's one hell of a long way to come for a few hours. was looking forward to the p**s-up around Leeds ;D

Danny, get packing and if I dont speak before you go, Good Luck Fella. Show those yanks how to drive a big motor mate, and we all know you will do the biz over there.

The one bit of advice I can give you, women, dont get involed, but if you do remember the phrase "yes dear", gets you out on the drink at the weekends.

As my dad said " All women are snakes with T*Ts, apart from your mother, she is just a snake" ;D

Sounds like you all had a great time and good luck to Danny on the 'right' side of the pond - glad you can join us:)

By the way, what's that funny reflection in your photos Baz? Did someone mention a 'puddle'? What's one of them? Living in the desert with 346 days of sunshine and I kinda forget what water looks like LOL

Hi Nick,

Never mind mate. I'll have to plan my UK trips when you guys have meets. Plus I still want to take you up on the cossie experience, been dying to get behind the wheel of one for years!!!

I’ll be sneaking back onto the site every now and again just to see what all you lot are up to ;D I could even do a comparison page for the site, 'Crown Victoria vs. Scorpio' if anyone would be interested?

As for the women nick, I’m learning as I get older ;D ;D ;D I’ll be living approximately 10 miles away from Daytona beach! I don’t know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing ;D

Steve LOL!! The right side of the pond!! First impressions of the US are good ones. I suppose only time will tell. Thanks for your kind words.

RE the big puddle in the photo :D we actually parked there on purpose to demonstrate our puddle lights to Baz who seems to be missing some on his new S reg cossie ;D ;D ;D. but then he displayed his TFT screens in the rear headrests and the dvd/tv/video decoder in the boot which pretty much made the door lights seem less important :o very cool stuff Baz 8)

And finally, I’ll be the first to admit parking my car out of sync. I simply wanted to display my Scorpio’s newest additions installed on the front of the car!!! (What Flashing Lights Officer ;D)

All Dannys car needs now is a white stripe running from the front wings to the rear pillars and up to meet at the back of the roof...........oh and a red paint job to go with the rest of the stuff.

Can't quite imagine Kevin R jumping across the bonnet in a cardigan though!!

Just saw your post.

Sorry if you felt left out, fair point, if more people had known I am sure the numbers would have grown. It all just happened rather spontaneously and quickly through IMs and with a days notice, it was just going to be a quick local mini pint to see the lad before he departed.

I am sure none of us meant any offence.

But like you I hope Danny does well and he hopes to be staying linked into the site. So I am sure that we will hear from him again.

Wow...sorry I missed you Danny

I've been up to my waist in foundations and project managing a team of builders who are constructing my extention, the west wing !! ha ha

this has taken up all my time but I would have liked to have had a drink with you....

If Harewood is on this year.........and you can attend....I will buy you that drink or two.....

please say hello to your dad fro me and the wife...how is he keeping?.....

only another couple of weks of build and normal service will be resumed, back on the pc full time...hee hee

ps

will have to book my 2 scorps in for full valets as they are minging from the building work......
