Hello All
Recently become a Scorpio owner. - 95-N Cosworth 24V Ghia saloon 53k - not mint but not bad either
Appreciated info. gleaned from both site topics & mailing lists prior to purchase.
As no rush to use it - I know that seems perverse but I've been searching for one for several months - I've decided to give it a major bodywork ( nearly complete) and mechanical ( yet to start) service.
Hope to post with pics at a later date
After much research on lubricants & bodywork products I will be trying Toughcoat acrylic paint protection & Amsoil fully synthetic oils for engine, auto box & p/s, rear diff. I'll keep a record & pass on when something to report. Anybody used either of above??
Had it on borrowed axle stands for a looksee underneath BUT forgot to check if engine sump can be removed - makes sense to check filter/strainer mesh - without major work. Have guessed from write-up's on site that no problem with Auto box sump removal. So has anyone out there had sump off engine - is it just undo the bolts or a major task
Thanks in anticipation
david

PS re mailing list topic -what oil for scorpio 24 V - my h/book states Ford formula S synthetic or 5w-50 synthetic oil
