Chaps,

I have Car Mechanics magazine on subscription, the April 2007 edition duly dropped through my letterbox this morning.

It features a 4 page guide on servicing the Scorpio, in this case a 1995 2.0 16v manual estate. Has some nice things to say about the Scorpio in general, and the writer (Peter Simpson, Editor) even highlights the insulation problems on the coil circuit, along with the well known suspension issues.

As an aside it is a great mag, I have read it for about 7 years now - might be of interest to you chaps :)

Dave, You beat me to it. Just opened mine and found the same article. ;) I wonder if this might be as a result of a letter in the 'problems' page some while ago. I contacted the technical editor regarding a reply they'd published and pointed him to the site.

Quite possibly! Always nice to see the Scorpio being included in things like this, I wonder if they might do an Electronic Diagnostics feature on it one day? Its on a Jag this month as you have probably seen, with 350k on the clock!

Just for ALL your info we ( The Admin ) we contacted by the Staff at the Magazine and they stated that they were putting a pointer to this site and forum.

I was waiting for them to come back to me before pointing all the 2.0l Scorpio Owners at the article.

Further to all of the above I can confirm that the Article from the Magazine Car Mechanics (http://www.carmechanicsmag.co.uk/)
should be available at a future date on the web site, should no one be able to get a hard copy of the magazine which I understand is on sale in newsagent now or on the web.
