Title: Goodbye, Farewell! - CAR SOLD TODAY!
Post by DJWerkz on Jul 20th, 2007, 8:42am
Just wanted to write a message of thanks to one and all who have helped me since owning my Scorpio to keep her going.

Car is currently up for sale on ebay and already my modest reserve has been met so it looks like it will sell.

These cars require someone with alot of dedication and ability to work on them; I have the former but not the latter due to my health and the down time while I wait for my brother-in-law to make it over lately has been rather long.

Therefore, I will be looking for something far more simpler to maintain.

Special thanks go out to STN at Powercraft Engineering, twin turbo freak Mr. Howard (hehe) and tintin who has been very accomodating with spare parts.  But for anyone else who has ever taken the time to respond to one of my posts or questions, you are equally worthy of note too.

Keep it going guys.

This is a nice gesture and shows the true spirit of friendship even among people who have never even met.

Hope evrything is ok for you in the future and you find a decent enough replacement (a hard task in itself) for your Scorp.

You can always still enjoy the banter on here anyway.....

Best wishes

Pete

Rumour has it a four cylinder Scorpio would fit the bill but I'm not convinced ;)

Let us know what you replace it with DJ  ;D

lol,...four-banger in a big car like the Scorpio, think I will give that advice a miss,...think those cars are only for the Cosworth wanna-bee's anyway who have become very resentful  :P :o 8) ;D

Thanks Dave.  Will do,...stick around that is.  The Saab 9000 is already starting to look like a steal, wife can't wait to get it MOT'd to replace her '95 Primera estate.

I will most likely run around in the ever reliable Primera estate until it either finally stops running or I find something else interesting.  We are still renovating our house so having an old estate that doubles for a materials van is ideal ;)

Just been offered another Saab 9000 but a turbo, needs a head gasket and head skim but it could be had for cheap.  We will see, I'm not desperate.

Well, it is definitiley goodbye from me, car sold for £850 on ebay today, which I am quite happy about.

Sold to a gentleman down in Farncombe, Surrey, so if any of you are down that way, look out for it.

It's been a blast, but to be honest, very much doubt I will have time to frequent the forum much now.

Happy motoring one and all ;)
