Some people did put the MT 75 gear box into the car as a modification. It needed a lot of work with the electrics to get it working correctly, but there are one or two out there. It also has the wrong wheels they should be 12 spokes.

Hello Dave,

Not sure on the rims, my feb 95 registered cossie saloon came  to me with teardrops, there is a history of this car on here as you may be aware, I am unable to find it but the personal plate and teardrops are on a picture that came with the history of the car and it seems a very active and prominent owner, who was in regular contact wit eric r and a few others.

Not nit picking but woukd be nice to know if others with early cossies had the same, my july 1995 built estate is on 12 spokes, and the feb reg is on black 12 spokes now care of peter davis.

 Have fun .....in a scorpio

Hi snoopy just pcking up on the wheels (mainly as the "other" v6 estate is going in for leccy work tomorrow I dug out the ford manuals etc) I have the technical service training manual  ref 00/229 new product info as issued to ford staff in 10/1994, and can find no reference to 16" rims at all (12 spokes incl).
It seems all came on teardrops or steels with trims.

Interestingly the tyres for the cosworths were 205/60 15 z for the saloon and  205/60 v for the estate, steels were not available on the cosworths as alloy was standard.

May clear up the rims on the car above but it wont unrust it!!

Stay safe
