Had a super day at Harewood. Also managed sunburn and windburn - shame I forgot my hat! Thanks to Stuart and others for sharing their knowledge on the eccentricities of the Scorpio.

Hi Stuart. Yes I've managed to dig out a spare one. Going to stick it on when I can find a spare half hour. Since slipping the belt off I've managed to get the MPG up to 17 now. Wonders never cease. Thanks for the thought. Good of you. Steve.

Sorry for the no show. My 24v got a temperature on the way to the event and my fancy bonnet release would not open up. I returned home in run and wait for it to cool stages. my garage thinks there in a minor head gasget problem and has put some sort of gunk in it today . Please all pray to the God Scorpio that this has fixed it, and I will be able to turn up next year. Sorry that my "No Show" effected the weather as it did . At least the car got its annual 'clean every bit' out of the event. Best wishes "Another D-mn Dave"

Sorry to hear that Dave, what gunk did they put in it? Was the coolant just leaking through to the outside of the head gasket?

Thanks Stuart. I don't know for sure where the leak was. I've had to do frequent top ups for the last two years. The real problem on Sunday was my inability to top up the water. Not to sure what the product was but my garage use it regulary and have a lot of confidence in it. Best wishes Another D_mn Dave .

Have you had the radiator looked at? May be another case of the ballooning radiator syndrome!

Sadly Lesterlad was unable to attend this year and perform his customary falling asleep act.. Luckily Mrs. Mondeoman was up for the challenge and bravely stepped into the breach!

I would just like to give my thanks to Debbie for the Harewood House plaque which arrived the other day. I don't have an address to do a personal letter of thanks but it is much appreciated.

| I have a low ratio diff on my 24v but unfortunately the speedo readings are lower than the speed I'm doing. I need to be sure what my speedo says when doing 60 to do a test. then I'd need my grandson to opperate the spopwatch and that will slow it down a bit. I'd best be satisfied with "FAST" but not as fast as a modern supercar. Best wishes Another D_mn Dave
