Radiator top hose for 24V 2.9

I don't suppose anyone has a spare radiator top hose for a 2.9 24V Cosworth Scorpio they'd be willing to sell?

I've been without the car for over 3 weeks and having to rely on internet-ordered deliveries of food shopping for what's become 3 weeks while the car's been off having some bodywork done, plus radiator repairs that ended up requiring the radiator to be shipped off to a specialist company to repair/rebuild it as the only one I could find for sale was in Germany, who wanted 3 times the price they used to be for it. My garage were just giving the car a final road test before bringing it back to me this morning when they discovered the top hose was split and leaking. So still no car, and I can't find a hose anywhere, even in the baltic breaker networks. (Found one for the Granada Mk3 Cosworth, but while the diagrams look similar it's a different Ford FINIS number.) So if anyone has one on a shelf or in a box somewhere ...

Typically, while I got two boxes of spares with the car back in 2020, and there's a radiator hose among other things, it's a bottom hose!

I'll pay, and shipping costs. of course.

I don't suppose anybody has ever tried and knows if the radiator top hose for a Granada MkIII (AKA Scorpio MkI everywhere apart from here and Ireland) 24V Cosworth does fit and work on a Scorpio Cosworth? There is a Granada Mk III one available, and in the photo it looks more-or-less the same shape as a photo of the Scorpio one (on a car parts site that used to sell them but is now out of stock), but neither gives measurements.

Finally got my Scorpio back from the garage today, with a great job done on the rusting offside wheel arch edge and damged end of the front bumper, and a fully refurbished and re-cored radiator, as there was no replacement available  I could find anywhere - hooray! (even if the radiator repair specialists charged me 50% more than their original quote) - but the top hose with the split that happened whent they were test driving the car before they were supposed to be bringing it back to me early this week is just bound round with that self-adhering silicone emergency get-you-home tape.

OK, looks like I just have to buy a sufficiently long piece of sufficiently flexible coolant hose, then, of the right diameter, rather than a specifically shaped top hose manufactured to fit a particular car model and engine.

Does anybody know what internal diameter hose fits the top inlet of the radiator? I'm finding it difficult to measure with the hose on, and am afraid if I take the (split and taped) hose off I won't be able to get it back on again and will have disabled the car.

Ooh - thanks!

They're only listing the full set of hoses, and that's a lot of money. I could email them and ask if they'll just sell a radiator top hose. On the other hand, given that the car's 28 years old and one hose has split, I suppose other hoses might split soon, so getting a full set just in case while there's one avaialble and I very unusually happen to have enough money to hand, even though I'm supposed to be spending it on house repairs, would be sensible.

£100 extra to have it in OEM-looking matte black instead of glossy - sheesh. Well, my scorp isn't concours and is my daily driver, so glosssy black, then.

So I've bought a full kit. Now just have to hope the silicone emergency repair tape currently sealing the split holds for the 3 weeks plus until the new hoses have been fabricated and arrive. I have images in my head of the repair giving way and an explosion of steam on the 19th during the MOT!

Thanks very much for the pointer, Scorpio_Mike.  Grin
