Hi there I want to change the engine oil theese days and i can not decide which from below to use: Valvoline SynPower 5W40 (Full Synthetic) Valvoline SynPower 5W50 (Full Synthetic) Valvoline DuraBlend 5W40 (Semi-Synthetic) Valvoline Racing 10W60 (unknown composition) The car is a 1996, 2.3 DOHC, with 140.000 KM From what i saw this engine gets extremly hot. The wheater ranges from about -20 C in winter and +40 C in the summer. PS i don't trust Valvoline Maxlife. (for old engines)

i run a 2.3,and have always been advised by my garage to use a semi synthetic oil,i know in the 24v engines, fully synthetic is a must, but in the 2.3,i would recommend a good quality semi..... HTH
