I had the Air Conditioning system topped up a few months ago, the engineer mentioned that there was a slight leak at a joint near the condenser and he warned me that the system will lose pressure over the weeks unless I replace the O ring . Sure enough, the system is operating poorly now ( although I see no signs of the dye he put in the system ). Are the O rings one universal size , or are they different depending on the component being replaced? I've tried ordering them from FPUK but I've had no reply.

You probably will not see dye as it may only show up under a UV lamp

the o rings are all different. it's a bit of a nightmare getting the right one/size.
