electric mirrors

Hi All out there,
(a) My passenger side door mirror does not work, any suggestions? drivers side is fine.
(b) Once or twice my gear changer (auto) sont lock in the (P) park position and the warning alarm goes off when I open the door,once I have 'Jiggled' it about it goes back to normal, Any Ideas

a= probable loose conection, in either the mirror itself, or the connection on the control knob, could be a faulty motor itself, or the plate (behind the miror is broken.)
b= get underneath the car and try spaying wd40 on the gear linkage itself, while you are there make sure linkage is secure.
