Seat Memory

Does anybody know how the seat memory works, as I have two settings stored in my car one for me and one for the wife. I also have the remote programmed to my seat setting, but this keeps failing and I have to keep re-saving it. Seat memory works fine with the door pocket buttons, but not the remote. If I reprogramme it, it will work a couple of times, and then just stop again.
 
Not a big problem I know, but the wife has been using my car lately and I struggle to get in when she has.
