Yeah, I know carb/brake cleaner but there's a story ( I can't find it now ) on the main site about a BMW owner who Eric helped. Teh owner had cleand the MAF once but it had left residue. A cleaner that left no residue was eventualy found and that fully cured his problem. Anyone know a readily available brand of residue free? TT

try wurth, their products are normally good, but carb cleaner shouldnt leave a residue, thats the idea of it, to clean residue etc from the inside of carb jets, needles etc

i recently had to clean the MAF, was in a small village and wandered around looking for a suitable shop. Ended up in a bike (cycle) shop and got some of their disc brake cleaner, worked a treat !!
