hello there ,could some one please tell me what an expanding pin looks like for footwell heater pipes .The manual says they should be replaced and I am not sure what to ask the FMD for .Thanks in advance for any help .....david

Do you mean the little plastic pins that break off when you take the footwell pipes off the heater box outlets ?
I seem to remember (memory's a bit vague now) that the plastic pin goes into an insert which clamps it in (can't remember what it's called though). The only way I could get them out was to break them, & the ends fell down the pipes 
I didn't bother trying to get the right bits again....I just pop riveted the pipes back onto the outlets, on the assumption that I would never have to repeat the job again
