interior mirror(is it goosed)

my interior mirror (the photochromatic one) has what looks like a very fine hairline crack right across from one side to the other, this has been there for about two years or more with no apparrent loss of vision thro it , the switch underneath still works ok and still gives the mirror its dimming properties at night. looking closely at it there is no dimness or tainting of the view thro it or on the lens itself, there is no dripping of the dreaded goo out of it either. is this a problem about to happen. any comments welcome

You have obviously read all the associated pages about the interior mirror and the problems that can be caused .
If it ws ME I would be looking to change it ASAP but its your car and if oyu take a chance you accept the consequences .... IF there are any.

yes snoopy i,ve read the pages on the mirror probs, and thought that after nearly two years something would have happened by now, think i,ll take the chance and leave well alone until something does!. i,ll let you know if it does ,,,,,thanks ... neil
