Ultima 2.9 12v, heater water leak inside car

Hi, I have recently bought an Ultima 2.9 12v auto estate, there is loss of water from header tank but no signs of water under bonnet, water leaks inside car and steam out of blower vents, which I presume is a faulty heater or heater pipe, if so how do I remove or replace heater, the car has climate control I tried radweld it worked for well for 6o miles but has started to loose water and over heat again. Would appreciate any guidance. Regards, Sam

Thanks Roy, You are right, it is the heater matrix, have just taken out radio and can see the leak, have ordered a new one from Partco only £27.79 + vat. In the meantime I have connected both heater hoses together with small piece of copper pipe and 2 jubilee clips works fine but no heater good job, it is not winter. Thanks again for quick reply. Regards, Sam

Thanks Dave, Your link to matrix removal was very helpful, will attempt it on Wednesday when I receive the new heater matrix, I'm told it is the same as the Sierra. Regards, Sam

When i had this on one of my Granada Scorpios, i managed to cure the same problem with radweld. However, as the Scorpio heater matrices are prone to blocking up anyway, it may not be a good idea to try it. Could see you through the summer though!!!! Ooops, sorry!! Just noticed you already tried that. Ian
