Hi,
My auto gearbox has failed on my 2.0 16v. The place that sold be this one has offered as a replacement a 2.9 auto box. Would this be okay?

If is from a 2.9 24V then is the same A4LDE electronically controlled auto box and it is more than OK (it should be stronger than the 2.0 16v one). The box from the 2.9 12V is different and does not fit into your car.

Okay cheers, it is a 24v gearbox so I've told them to send it. Hopefully it'll last longer than the last one (ie 2 weeks).
