Sprung a leak on the hose that runs from the bottom of the radiator to the thermostat, must have sprayed straight onto the N/S cat making lots of steam! did a very good impression of the Red Arrows display team on the M8 for a few hundred yards New hose fitted and up and running again, wasnt as bad as i first feared

One guy who stopped to help me was quite impressed by the range of spares I carried in the boot, he said it was like a Dakar Ralley support vehicle

Pity you weren't at Harewood some else needed a spare hose .! ( top Heater) Fortunately one of the unleashed gang ( Wumps) had his garage with him as per usual and problem fixed for a get him home solution.

Thinking about this, even though it did not quite work out, time to add a hoseweld bandage and some copper pipe and jubilee clips to the the first aid kit. I guess the alternative is to bite the bullet and change some hoses and keep the good ones as spare, luckily the 12valve has got a fair amount of space to work in. Just checking Stuart, but do you have a complete spare set for a 12valve in the depot?
