Hello and welcome to the site Is your speedo working ok? Tried cleaning the MAF? My alarm bells always start ringing when I see 1994, and I know the Scorpio came out late 94 and I have one myself BUT is it a Scorpio you have or a Granada (85-94) Been caught out too many times before

Hi, tried cleaning the MAF?? http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cleanmaf.htm If that doesnt help then i think you're looking at a wiring loom or a gearbox problem.

I think I've read the engine has to be up to a certain temperature, in which case a faulty temp sender is a possibility (not the one to the temperature gauge - so gauge reading may not be relevant).
