Pollen Filter ?

Hi everyone.
First time user on this very informative forum.
My car is a 97 Scorpio 2.3 Ghia manual est.
My question is,
Does the standard aircon (not cc) have a pollen filter ?
I have looked all over the air blower box and cannot locate a slot for one to fit in, if there is one that is.

All Scorpios have three pollen filters in a line & they are mounted in the evaporator housing in the bulkhead at the bottom of the windscreen (engine side) & have a cover with four clips.....although it may only be a couple of clips because they tend to disappear after a while
