Changing headlight bulbs

Ive searched the site and havent found any step by step for this. I used the 'Changing Headlight Glass' page to get thtat far, and managed to figure out getting the clip, adjusting screws, and another thing unscrewed and out but there is still a white plastic bit at bottom behind the unit that i couldnt for the life of me work out how to unscrew/pop out/ etc. This stopped the unit with the bulbs in coming out, meaning i couldnt get to the bulbs to replace!! HELP!! Thank you

Bulbs are changed from the REAR of the headlight unit - there is a black plastic cover you need to remove to get at the bulbs, and yes, it is a bit awkward !

Awkward ....it's simple Pull off the headlamp back (black) plastic cover by pushing down on the top release clip & manouver it away from the rear of the lamp & then push in & squeeze together the bulb retaining clip ends to release the bulb The dipped beam & full beam retaining clips are exactly the same, as are the bulbs (H1), so the same procedure applies to both

it it quite a simple process as jonny writes.back cover off.dipped and main lights are held by wire clips which you push down and unhook.the side light is just a push/pull fitting.the only awkward bit is removing the back cover off drivers side headlight, its a bit fiddly getting it past the window wash filler pipe .but apart from that its right and handy. atb

| LOL yeah...try that on a Cossy and see you skin hang off all the lumpy bits Headlamp removal is sometimes easier. 2 top bolts and the lower bolt is behind the fog light. Simple
