And if you really want to boost it up a bit, go and buy RS2000 racing camshafts and stick them in. Should be a simple swap operation, at least I was told so by the guy who bought my spare 2.3 lump and stuck it into a SIERRA. Goes 0 to 100km/h like a cat in heat. He was so happy that he later on rang me and thanked me again. It was all my pleasure to see a perfect piece of machinery go to work.

Although others may disagree I prefer the 2.9V6 12v to the 2.0 and 2.3. It barely uses anymore fuel. 2-3mpg at the most but with a lot more torque and a better smoother feel. I have a 2.3 at the moment and it is good for a 4 cyl but not as good as the V6, can't comment on the 24v though as I've never had one!
