Steering Rack dismounting

Hi!
I have a 97 scorp that i had to replace the steering rack as it was leaking, that was alot easier then i expected  .
But i have decided to try to repair the old one, or atlest open it up and look inside .
It has not been any problems to dismantle it until i got to the inner seal , anyone who have done this before?
If not i might just try to push it out.
