LCD Display on 7000 RDS

Hi guys
I have the 7000 RDS stereo with CD changer and the LCD display doesn't work. Everything works perfectly except this
Does anyone know how to sort this issue? I would be most grateful for help

Some people have left em in the airing cupboard overnight,others in the freezer,and oddly enough it sometimes works !

i am told by a guy that repairs them its dirty contacts inside the pannel he strips em cleans all the contacts and up and they work just fine afterwards
