Pats And fob

heres a strange one the pats light on the dash on my 96 TD has not worked since getting the car but she fires up ok no problem but i cant get either key fob to programe its making the correct bings ect but wont work are the problems connected and is there a fuse for the pats system and alarm or any relays i need to check out

Pats must be working,as your car starts,the remote is controlled by the central control module,not pats.Not all of my cars flash the dash LED when switched off,but come on continuously for a few seconds on start up,could be faulty LED of course !

dont get anything from the pats light on or off looks like a change of led are they easy to change or is it dash out if so could i just cut the wires and solder another one in place

some diesels didn't have the PATS system fitted, so might be that.

it was reg 8 08 96 and i know it aint got the ecu controlled engine in it so it could be the remote used to work ok any idea which fuse it is for the alarm system i had forgoten how much fun the electrics were on a 95
