HELP : RH Exhaust Manifold removal..!

I am finally getting round to sorting the water gushing issue following the big freeze a couple of months ago. The rear right hand water channel Block Plug came out due to the frozen engine. I've sourced a new plug and found out which ones missing. Access is the issue. I don't have the facilities to lift Car or Out the engine. I can get to the hole but getting enough room to be able to press or secure the new plug disc is impossible. Q's: I guess by removing the RH Exhaust manifold I will have a much better chance / look at it..? How much of a b'std is removing the RH Exhaust Manifold..? Sheared bolts to look forward to..? Will I need to drop the Exhaust to seperate the Manifold from the Cats..? How easy/difficult is it to press the Plug back in..? Is it a DIY job or Should I give up now and take it to the garage and let them worry about it..? Any help most apprecieted. Dave

you or any one ealse for that matter will need clear access to knock in a new plug, they usually go in quite easy but have to be knocked in streight.

Manifold should be fine, mine came off no bother on 3 engines. seperating it from the downpipe may be more tricky, seperating the downpipe from the flex joint easier and possibly impossible to get the flex joint to system undone... I would look at the condition of all the exhaust nuts and clean and derust the best looking ones. TT
