Hi all, I think i have blown the head gasket on my 2.3 scorp,... i am getting the smell of exhaust gases back thru the header tank when it bubbles over after 8-10 miles, are they difficult to replace, and cost wise? thanks in advance for any advise Micky

Hi micky nah not to bad a job but the 2.3 has a issue with cracking heads on the intake side between cyls 2 and 3 when head gaskets or manifold goes

so how do i know if head is cracked then?.... will a garage do a compression test to confirm head gasket has failed?

get a garage to do a test with a hydromiter if the gasket is blown it turns the fluid from blue to yellowey green if you nead a head set and hydraulic tensior i have bouth whitch i never used

someone has suggested i try "radweld" plus, which says it blocks head gasket leaks, anyone tried this?

K-Seal is another to use, suppose to work well but never used myself. Lee
