Wheel and tyre sizes

Hello all,

I have the wheels shown below on my 2.5td Estate. They aren't shown on the 'Alloy Options' on the main site pages and I'm trying to figure out what size tyres should be used. They are 16" rims.

Currently I have 215x55x16 on the front and 215x65x16 on the rear.

Is this combination ok/legal?

Cheers,

Steve

The combination is legal.   (as long as the tyres are the same across the axle)   I wouldn't be sure about ok!   I would prefer all tyres to have the same aspect ratio, if the wheels are 6.5 inch rims then presumably you would fit the standard 225/50 by 16 tyres.   If only 6 inch rims then I'd stick with the 215/50 by 16.   I've got the 12 spoke Ford alloys  on mine, 225/50 by 16, but I think next time I might try a 55 aspect ratio to get a slightly smoother ride.

The 12 spoke 16 inch used s 225 / 50 / 16 tyre, if they have the same width as the 12 spokes id use them

i believe that rim was an option for ghia x models

as for odd sizes i believe so long as you have the same size tyre on each end of the axel you can have different front to back sizes

Thanks for the advice chaps.

I had a Ghia-X previously and swapped the wheels over onto my current car.

These wheels replace a set of 12 spoke alloys that I will be cleaning up and looking to offload soon.

I would keep the 12 spokes, and off-load anything else!   The Scorp' looks no-better than with 12 spokes!
