Can somebody tell me how to remove the dash Ashtray please. The little light that iluminates the cigarette lighter has become dis-engaged and shorts switching it on/offas the ashtray is opened/closed which ain't good,

Yes remove the dash board to get the complete ashtray out.

I was hoping beyond hope that there may be an easy answer  . But this is, after all, a Ford so not much luck there.
Me thinks it will have to wait a while, or at least till I can't stand the thought of it any longer - I'm sure you know what I mean: Everytime I use this car that thought WILL enter my mind till one day come rain, hail, sleet, snow, ice I will just get on with it.........  .
