24v o/s front lambda sensor

Which is the best way to access the o/s front lambda sensor, from under the bonnet or underneath the car? I did a "dry run" today and removed the o/s heat shield but couldn't see much of an advantage. Would it be better accessed from underneath and what needs taking off?

From under would be best and should only neef the under tray taking off
