Hi Tony They should be that type, usually best to squeeze the lugs and push on to release the grip before pulling off. To reduce spillage unless it’s stood for a while pull the pump relay with the engine running it should depressurise the system. If the weathers turned warmer then releasing the filler may release pressure in the tank. Dave
