Heater Blower Control Module

Having suffered failed HBC modules a number of times over the years, and as the parts are no longer available from Ford it got me to thinking whether it is at all possible to repair / refurbish the old modules.
A quick look at one I have here suggests that the whole thing is glued shut, probably to the point of destruction to open it!
Has anyone attempted this kind of repair or know of a company that could do this.
In the long term the supply of used spares will vanish so something will need to be found as a way forward.
