Hello, I'm driving a '96 Scorpio Cosworth automatic, and for quite some time OBD reads code P0741 which means something like: performance TCC system; more slip of torque converter als expected. What can cause this code? Best regards, Gerhard.

OK, thanks for the tips. I'm driving for almost 10 months with this code. I've claned the MAF, changed the MAF with another Scorpio Cosworth (after cleaning), the fluid level is correct, part of the fluid (6 liter) and filter have been changed (acceptable colour of the oil), all relevant wiring and connections have been checked, the codes have been cleared and battery disconnected several times (code comes back after a while), brake bands have been checked, meanwhile I run out of options. So it has probably something to do with the Torque Converter Clutch, but I can't find an explanation of code P0741 in the part about the Comprehensive Component Monitor; Hardware checks in EECV software. Is the clutch a part of the torque converter or a part of the transmission itself?
