A4LDE codes

It is said that the A4LDE gearbox of a Scorpio '95 2.3 Auto contains an electronically controlled torque converter lock. If such a lock is in my Ultima's gearbox, it switches so smooth that I am not able to verify this. Is there a way to find out on a run with my OBD triple combo lead and VE if the lock operates correctly?
