I used to drive a 1968 Corsair 1700 V4 in Silver Fox metallic reg UOY 481F. It was my godfathers car from new, my dad had it for a bit and then I had it until it went to the big scrapyard in the sky. I have as well as the two scorps, a 1982 Cortina Crusader which is aslo about to go to the btreakers due to the metal termites which have eaten most of it away!! Good news is, my Red Scorpio has reached its selling reserve on Ebay. So if the guy is honourable enough, I will no longer be two scorps!! Baz

Yea I'll test drive too! I had a Sierra 2.0 GTE twincam 8 Valve, that bit annoyed me, it should have been 16v, but it could go like hell. A Ford Mondeo 1.8 Ultima, a sporty version with standard recaro bucket seats, quite nippy too. And the beast well 2.9cossie would be nice but 2.3 will have to do. Love the car loads. I do like the New Mondeo Tdci ZetecS Beautiful car I think and I will have one before to long. and now the ST220 Diesel is out. 220BHP out of a oil burner. the fastest Diesal car ever buit by ford...I want one for Christmas please! Regards JJ PS. Paul that Cortina looks wonderful,

We have a mint K reg Orion (belongs to Kerry really) but had loadsa cars. Back in 1977 I had a 1959 Austin Healey Sprite Mk2, 980cc but went like stink....several Minis ( the real ones) a Mk1 escort, a Mk2, a VX Cavalier 1600,(odd but it was loads of fun to chuck about) a VX490 (the General Lee.. ) Then motorcycles.... a Fantic 50, a Suzuki 50, a FSIE, then a brand new 1980 Honda 250n Super Dream in silver (drool) and lastly Suzy GS1000e in Blue/white. Then a 1980 2.0 Granada Ghia, black and lovely, a Vauxhall Carlton CDX 2.0 in blue (sweet as a nut till the aircon blew up.. ) Volvo 850SE (sawn off T5.. swift or WHAT!!!) Peugeot 306 1.9 TD... nice economical family motoring with a devil under your hoof if you needed it... Now my big black Scorpio... everyday I get in and I am still surprised by her.. gotta be the best thing I ever drove. My younger bro' has had all the BMW's and Mercs and I've driven them all but nothing gives the same experience as my Scorp.. I popped the boot the other day to get some kit out and my boss (drives a new MG ZR) just dropped his jaw.. he said even the boot reeks of class.. just the way it lifts so slowly and stays up.. all on it's own...

vulcan a yamaha FSIE,ohhhhhhhh memories (sorry to go on about bikes, but that was my real passion),a FSIE was my first introduction to bikes,16 years old,and owned a 50cc bike that could pass 50 mph ,then a whole host of "toys" to follow that, ending up with a fireblade, happy days, happy days, unfortunately now,my motorcycle entitlement has been removed from my licence ,but thanks for the memories.... craig..

Well i have only had my driving licence - for cars anyway for exactly 1 year now and in my first 12 months driving I have had - Fiat Punto 60S 1.2, Honda Prelude 2.2 Vtec, Mazda xedos 2.0 V6, Renault Laguna 1.8, Ford Scorpio 2.9i 24V Cosworth, I have owned the Scorp for longer than the rest of em all put together as I haven't yet found anything which is more relaxing and exciting to drive yet. I have clocked up over 22000 miles in my 6 months of ownership and despite her strange idling behaviour she has NEVER let me down. I had always been a biker before that and I still find it hard to believe that I now love my car as much as any bike I had, I used to have a Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa which was good for 200mph but I still prefer my Scorp.

hayabusa and that was going to be my next bike, however have managed to blag a ride as a pillion, and between you me and the gatepost even managed to take it out solo(shhhhhh )........ perhaps after getting off of it physically shaking, and thinking to myself,am i still here, perhaps it was wise to have been forced to give up bikes, but believe me,that was one mean bike craig..

How did you like the Xedos? I nearly had one of those... until I decided to stick with Ford. Kind of "Better the devil you know" as the outgoing car was the Mk3 Granny Scorp. Insurance on the Mazda was going to be almost as bad as the Cossie. Mind you, I was going to go for the 2.5SE version with all the leather and stuff
