You'll excuse this Sunday morning moan but, is is not beyond the wit of the Powers That Be to change the date notation from the US system back to the ( proper ) UK system?

Click profile at the top of the page, scroll down to 'Time Format' and change it in the drop down list to '31.01.2001 at 13:15:17' (Or whichever you want) then click 'Change Profile' at the bottom.
