I've just realised I've been awarded a second star and the status of "junior member."

Does that mean I get to wash the lettuces next?

Cheers

Did   anyone   send  young  Penguin   down  to  the  Ironmongers   for  a   left -handed screwdriver  and  a   long  stand ?

Does anyone still do that ?

  Tartan Paint,   Glass Hammer, Etc.

I   don't   think   16 year olds  to-day  would   fall for  that  old guff.

Far  too   savvy  these   days ,   unlike  muggins  here Undecided

I remember a story from a while back where the new boy was sent to the shop to get some cigarettes.
He was told to get 5 packs of Marlboro, & if they didn't have them, then anything else would do.

He came back with 5 packs of salt & vinegar crisps ROFL ROFL

When I was an electrician, I worked as a contractor on Kelloggs in Manchester for nearly 10 years. One day I was drilling holes ready for tapping into stainless steel when the drill bit must have gotten too hot , the drill slipped and the HSS bit ended up bent at 90 degrees instead of it snapping like they normally did. Not being one to pass up on a wind up opportunity, I took it to the stores that we had in the contractors compound and asked John the storeman from Burnage if he could get some more as it was awkward getting the straight ones into the gap round the corner!!

3 days he was ringing round trying to get one before someone told him Grin

I kept the bit for many years as a reminder (a little like Mr Benn used to do) and I bet it is still in the shed at my mums somewhere!
