Lewis takes the World Championship despite the corrupt FIA and the cheats at Ferrari. He has risen above the racist taunts and become an ENGLISH champion. Ron Dennis must take alot of credit for helping in the making of the WORLDS youngest ever Champion! Well Done Lewis

An English champion ( I think you mean British, but far be it from me to educate the ..... yadda , blah blah ) But he chooses to live abroad rather than pay English income tax. What a hero, I don't think

No i don't mean British at all. Lewis was born and bred in ENGLAND not Scotland/Wales or N. Ireland. Tax avoidance is legal, Tax evasion isn't. As you mentioned the word hero mr._floppy not I. The definition of the word hero" a man noted for outstanding achievements". To become a WORLD champion surely one had excelled.

Didn't he say, after the race, that he was looking for a place in London to live ?

I thought as God Save The Queen is played when Hamilton stands on the winners rostrum, silly me, I assumed he must be British. ( or maybe he's Swiss now ) Hold on I'll check on Wiki, yes, I was right, God Save The Queen is the British National Anthem.

Not going into the Andy Murray territory are we Mr Floppy ......Then again, with a Scottish surname like Hamilton, is he English or Scottish by origin ? Hamilton is a Scottish name, but given the colour of his skin, then you would assume his ancestry is not Scottish or English. Maybe from the 1950s Jamaican/African immigrants who adopted new surnames ? A bit of a touchy subject I know, but one that everyone has no doubt thought about As regards to what should be played when an English/Scots/Welsh/Irish man/woman wins something...'God save the Queen ' is not very representative of each nation As an Englishman, then I reckon 'Land Of Hope & Glory' should be the English national anthem & should be played when the English football/rugby/athletic etc individuals/teams play & win, as it instills more of a sense of national pride & emotion than the naff 'God Save The queen'...... Lets's face it, who really loves the Royal family & their entourage of spoilt, bratish, free-loading, upper class offspring ?

God save the Queen is also played for the ENGLISH football team! Can't really see the Scottish fans singing along with: Lord grant that Marshal Wade May by thy mighty aid Victory bring. May he sedition hush, And like a torrent rush, Rebellious Scots to crush. God save the Queen! The Scots have the Flower of Scotland. The Welsh, The land of my Fathers and N.I, Londonderry Air. I agree with Jon, i much prefer Land of hope and Glory or even Jerusalam. The official UK Anthem is God save the Queen however, I am English first and foremost and so i believe is Lewis. I wonder how Mr David Coulthard sees his nationality with his Scottish Saltire flag helmet. Anyway, Lewis is still the WORLD champion and ENGLISH

Ah, Mr Coulthard, the Scotsman with the obvious Germanic square jawline I don't think there are many of us that can truly call ourselves 'Native Of These Shores'

Quite right Scorpio_man. Let's not squabble about parochial England/Scotland stuff. Nice flag on your posting, that's not The Lion Rampant is it, Scotland's other National Flag ? I do believe it is. Tut Tut , bad example to set
