Up & Running

Im pleased to say im now up & running again after 3 long weeks without a radiator. Despite the efforts of some of the superb members from here, i had to bite the bullet & go for a full recon unit. Matt's taxi service saved the day & ran me down to Ready Rads in Birmingham where they did me a full re con ( 33mm core ) for only £105 inc vat . Soon had it fitted....but not without some drama. Basically i had the mother of all air locks which made me panic & scream like a girl, fully expecting the head gasket to fail at any second. Luckily Matt was at hand to calm me down by beating me around the head with a 56mm spanner ...well nearly . Hopefully i wont get anymore drama for a while & can start enjoying the car once more . For now though im a happy little camper . Thanks to everyone who tried to get me mobile again. Regards... craig

I have just replaced the rad on my cosworth, last one ballooned on the top . Check your cap is free to blow off the pressure, mine seemed to be stuck and poss cause as rad looked in good condition.
