Over the last couple of years I've got to know Steve (Spikie) reasonably well (on first name terms) & he is a genuinely nice guy. Okay, so some of his prices may seem a little higher than general breakers yards/other ebay sellers etc......But he does exclusively specialize in Scorpio parts & all his parts are removed & on the shelf, unlike a general breakers yard, where you have to remove the part yourself....which isn't always easy when they are stacked up .....He is also, probably, the largest source of Scorpio parts in the country As Steves yard is only 20 miles from me (used to be 15 miles, but he moved), I've had a few parts off him when I couldn't source them locally & needed them quick Steve has to try & make a living out of what he does & like any other retailer anywhere in the world, charges top dollar for something that is rare/high in demand & less for stuff that is common/not in demand....that's business The consumer always has a choice though

| That is true, I don't mind paying a bit more to have it actually put in my mitt. From what I've seen his place is clean and well organised (if floor space is acutely lacking ) and he does have shelves piled with gear. It's round the back of a horse stables place and there's a few other likewise little businesses as well all in like a parade of lock-ups, doubtless there's rent to pay.
