As per title does anyone know how to banish these ads that appear on both sides of the page? Cheers Tony

I don't have the banner ads so I've probably turned them off at some stage. The trouble with turning off "Shockwave Flash Object" is you may need it for other sites & it's a pain having to keep turning it on/off. You could try the following (it might be slightly different on your ebay homepage): Go to My Ebay>Summary>hover over Account, select Site preferences>Advertising preferences>click "Show"(far right), click edit, select no to "Use my information to show me relevant ads on eBay and other sites".

I use the ad blocker lists from http://fanboy.co.nz/ie.html Quite effective so far. Only thing is I'm using IE9 and the list for that is nearly a year old now.
