gear box oil change

hi there everyone, could anyone give me a guide through changing the gear box oil on my 12 valve ultima and if this is possible for the diy machanic with a bit of experience. thanks guys richard.
P.S. if so what type of oil is to be used, dex 2 or 3.

Im assuming your scorp is auto if so then ford recommend dex3. I had sum work done on my auto box and that is what was used to refill mine. Hope this helps.

Would advise changing the Pancake filter as well. Thats behind the G/box bottom plate. Messy but worth it . I did my 12 valve last summer. I Can't remember the part number, but the cost was about £15 from Fords.
Also the design has changed, and its' plastic now instead of the origional metal. Also while the plate was off I cleaned it off & checked the magnet on it for metal fragments, ( indicative of bearing break up/ cog teeth fretting ).
