Have 95 Scorpio 24v which broke a timing chain. Been lucky and only bent 4 exhaust and 2 inlet valves. The problem i have is to get into the chain at the crankshaft i have to remove the pulley wheel. Do i have to use a service tool (21-147 Vibration damper remover) to remove itas all the other cars i have had the pulley wheel has been on a tappered shaft and came off with a wee knock. And suggestions on how to get it off without having to get the tool ..... would be appreciated

Hi I have most tools for the 24V but you are a bit to far away from me I think? Maybe a local Ford garage will lend you one. This is what it looks like.
