Ford 6006 cd player

Now i have my scorpio back on the road i am toying with the idea of installing a subwoofer in the boot. I have a 6006 head unit and i noticed the other day that this has a socket which isn't used (square shape with 3 prongs next to the yellow stalk remote plug). Does anyone know what this is for? is there a line out anywhere or do i have to use speaker level. Anything else i should know about before installing this?
