Hi. What's involved in replaceing the rocker cover gaskets on my '96 2.9 V6 12V ? Can I do this myself or do I need to get stung by local Ford people ? Thanks Eugene

The rocker cover gaskets on the 12v is a relatively easy job to do.. the offside one is a bit more tricky as there are several cooling and other pipes which tend to get in the way but other than that its easy.. take you time make sure you have the correct gaskets the ones with the metal spacers in them and take care not to drop the cover retaining bolts into the engine bay. Put a good cover over the wings whilst leaning in and thats about it really ...Do nOT use any additional sealnts as they are cork and do not require it.
